What? Forever Wild. Walkin' Jim Stoltz Multimedia Show
Where? Squires Student Center, Blacksburg
Walkin' Jim gave an impressive show about his 30,000-some miles of hiking through America's last wild places. Kudos to Jack Knoll, who single-handedly organized the whole event. I was instrumental in securing a large venue for the Show at Squires using my connections as faculty advisor to the Outdoor Club at Virginia Tech. Part of the bureaucracy with the Office of Student Activities was hellish, but it payed off. I printed a poster for the Outdoor Club to have at the Walkin' Jim show, and accompanied the club president in answering questions of passers-by.
